Big Better BurgersBurgers have always been a part of the Filipino food. While originally a western food, burgers have enticed the Pinoy palate and rocked the Philippines. Burgers made bigger companies like Jolibee and McDonalds a success. Burgers with a specific niche (big, small, super tasty, spicy, etc.) have been becoming a trend in the years and Big Better Burgers is one company that stand out in serving large servings of burgers.

Big Better Burgers, BBB for short is one of the best tasting fast food in the rise today. BBB focuses on burgers that are so huge, it can become a dinner by itself.

Big Better Burgers have this distinct taste, nothing like some fast food companies serve. As I put it when I first tried their burgers, it is smokey and grilled, loaded with spices and relish, much like an artisan burger, and nothing like Jabi’s fried patty burger.

Big Better Burger Menu

  • Classic – Huge grilled pure beef patty, with lettuce, onions and tomatoes.
  • Classic with cheese – the above, with additional slice of cheese.
  • Mushroom Loco – With delicious mushroom gravy and sliced button mushroom (think, Jolibee burger steak, only with much much better patty and thicker gravy)
  • Hahalapeno – Savory and spicy, but not THAT hot.
  • Shiitake Teriyaki
  • Bacon BBQ – this is my personal favorite. Super tasry and the bacon is to die for.
  • Pesto Mozza
  • 3-Cheese Explosion
  • Sloppy Joe

Since Filipinos love to eat rice, BBB have developed rice meals aside from the burgers. Also, they offer a la carte orders of fries and onion rings.

The History of Big Better Burgers

A backyard barbecue hosted by one of the founders, Eric Teotico, a chef, started it all. He wanted to make huge, tasty burgers for his guests, so he decided to opt for 1/3 pound patty, slowly grilled to perfection, and relished it with lettuce, onions and tomatoes. Everyone was delighted with the food that they suggested the chef to start his own business, focusing on this type of luxurious burger.

Eric was hesitant but his sister encoraged him and his brother who just arrived from Dubai gave him enough money to start his dream business. In September 2008, the first BBB branch opened and it became a huge success since then. The nace came from a competition abroad, named “Build a Better Burger”. Well, you know what he did to that.

Now, BBB has more than 10 branches, including SM North Edsa Annex, SM Cubao, SM Fairview Main Building, Katipunan, Commonwealth, Filinvest City Alabang, University Mall, Jupiter in Makati and Robinson’s Forum Pioneer.
