Waffle is similar to pancakes, and is also a perfect thing for breakfast. Actually, waffle was invented for those people who prefer to take their breakfast on the go. Waffles are eaten throughout the world, particularly in the United States and Belgium, and often served with delightful toppings such as chocolate, strawberries, sugar, ice cream, honey, syrups, and more. Waffles were adapted into modern American English as waffle in the 18th century. Waffle, like any other foods has its origin. It was made during the middle ages in the Province of Brabant (now Belgium). That’s why there are signature waffles which are called Belgian waffles. Waffle has many varieties and some of them may not be familiar to you:

- American waffle – comes in round or rectangular shape and usually served for breakfast topped with maple syrup, butter, or honey.
- Belgian waffle – often served warm and dusted with confectioner’s sugar, topped with whipped cream, chocolate spread, or soft fruits.
- Liege waffle – Liege is a city in Eastern Belgium. Liege waffles are denser, richer, and chewier kind of a waffle. This is the most common type of waffle in Belgium, commonly served with cinnamon or vanilla syrup.
- Bergische waffle – this is the specialty of Bergisches Land, a region in Germany. This type is less dense and crisp, comes up of a heart shape, served with cream and berries.
- Hong Kong style waffle – commonly known as the ‘grid cake’ or ‘grid biscuits’, often sold in the street, larger than the traditional waffle; soft and not dense.
- Pandan waffle – this has a touch of pandan and coconut milk originated from Vietnam.
- Scandinavian waffle – thin and heart-shaped kind of a waffle.
- Stroop waffle – thin waffle with syrup filling, originated in Netherlands during 18th century.

There’s no high end or middle class coffee shop that never serves waffle. Waffles have been a perfect partner for coffee and any hot espresso and non-espresso beverage. On the other hand, food stalls that serve waffle of any kind, could it be a gourmet or fruit waffle have become very popular nowadays as they are sold in a very affordable price. For a less than twenty pesos, you can satisfy your tummy and cravings. Waffle is an ideal business. Familiar with these famous waffle stalls in the metro? Magic Waffle, Pinoy Waffle, <a

So many choices that you can hardly pick what you really want. That frequently happens to me. I would start sailing through the aisle of food stalls but I’d end up nothing in my hand. Commuters and passersby are the main target markets of food stalls. Travelling to the office or school can be time-consuming. There are times that we forget to eat the right food. Instead, we pack our food and leave. We commonly call it as ‘grab and go’ or ‘breakfast on the go’. This habit is convenient for some people as they can eat well while on travel. Sometimes we cannot blame those people whose habit is bringing packed foods along with them while on travel. These people might naturally do not have a good appetite during breakfast, and they find ‘breakfast on the go’ more fitting and helpful.

What is the right food for commuters?

Number 1 in the list: ENERGY FOODS!

Experts say that foods high in sugar and fat are what most tired people crave for. We naturally crave for these stuffs when we’re low on energy because sugary foods such as chocolates, candies, and pastries can give us an instant boost. If you’re conscious, then make some changes to your eating habits in order to defeat your tiredness. Choosing the right kind of food can make a huge difference. Commuters and busy people must eat hearty type of foods. When we say hearty, it’s nutritious but light in your tummy, as we know commuters never eat heavy meals. Examples of hearty foods are grain chips, fruits, or maybe vitamin-enriched biscuits. But if you’re opting for food cart stuffs, choose what’s good for you – stuffed waffle, noodles, burgers or sandwiches.

Keep foods fresh and simple. Choose the ones which are convenient and easy to carry. While on the go, avoid stuffs that can mess up your day. Imagine your fingers are coated with sauces, while your lap is full of crumbs and dribbles. We don’t want that to happen. Moreover, variety is important as this gives our bodies energy-boosting nutrients.

No related posts.

Five Questions to Ask Your Franchise Consultant

Franchise Articles

franchise consultant

franchising

question
<guid

Nowadays, would-be entrepreneurs are so inclined into franchising. Most of them franchise food carts and kiosks. With all these popular franchise concepts in the market today, how can you be sure that you’re in the right business?

Hard-earned money is well-treasured money, so don’t just give into promises that seem too good to be true because they are unlikely to be true. The frequent preys of these franchise scammers are the new entrepreneurs. Therefore, it is advised to consult a trusted franchise specialist before getting into the real scene. Here are the suggested questions that would help you get rid of franchise scams, establish your business, and earn high returns.

Question 1: How can a beginning entrepreneur manage and have a deeper knowledge in franchise business?

First and foremost, it is very essential to know yourself very well before you get into franchising. Remember that franchising seems easy to operate but it’s not meant for everyone. Not all people succeed in franchising. Passion and interest make one successful. Know what interests you most

Question 2: How long will it take before I can start the operation?

That depends on the company policy for releasing a franchise cart. You need to complete the basic requirements by attending the franchise seminar to help you know how the franchise business operates in general.

Question 3: How would I know if it’s worth investing my time and money?

Franchising is the craze in today’s business for it is proven 70%-90% success rate. However, you must still verify the stability of the business before you invest your money.

Question 4: How can I protect myself from franchise scams?

Always check the company profile and history along with its credibility in the business. If ever the franchisor convinces you hurriedly to invest your money without thinking twice, be alert as it might be a form of scam. If the franchise company promises you that you will generate a lot of money in a short period of time, then this is very suspicious.

Question 5: How can I maximize my sales and success rate?

Visibility, branding, and location are the keys towards great sales and rapid success rate. Apply the 4 P’s in your marketing class.

No related posts.

French Fries and the French Fries Franchise Business

Franchise Articles

burger

french fries

french fries franchise

fries

Things to consider when choosing a business location

If you recall the Four P’s in your marketing class way back in college, it would help you analyze and choose the best locations for your business. The Four P’s is one of the fundamental theories taught in any marketing course. So what does this Four P’s stand for?

- Price
- Product
- Promotion
- Place

Location is more than just choosing a corner, or a building. There are many entrepreneurs who become so excited about the launching of their new business venture that they fall short to give time in finding the right location. Choosing the right location would also consider your return of investment. For instance, you’re planning to put up an eatery, determine first your target market – would that be located in the university belt, or along the sidewalk? Then, you should be aware about the correct pricing as your target customers are the masses. Here are some tips to help you decide which location you should look for. Understanding and considering these guidelines will lead you to a successful business.

Understand your business well. As the owner, it is a cardinal rule to know your business very well. Will people reach your location without hassle? Is your location visible and accessible?

Know your target market. Determining the type of customers would surely help you run your business and know their needs. The rule is: Get a taste for the community. Find and study the trends if you’re putting your business in a city or rural area. Make a demographic profile and be flexible to any change.

Scope out the competition. It is necessary to know your competitor’s activities. Let’s say, if you’re setting up an internet shop, check the surrounding areas if there are other businesses same as yours. Try to interview the owners in that particular area if their business is succeeding or not – this would certainly help you a lot.

Accessibility. We hate congestion and traffic, don’t we? Sometimes, customers go to where they find comfortable and accessible. So, consider the visibility and convenience for promotion and profitability purposes.

Balance cost with other factors. No matter how attractive the price of the site might be if your customers can’t get there easily, or let’s say if the infrastructure can’t support the necessary wiring for you internet line, your business won’t survive. Spend your money on good locations.

Related posts:

<a

What matters to me most, is the taste and the scrummy factor that would linger in my memory for the rest of my life. I may be exaggerating but that’s the way I can describe it since I am a certified foodie. Hamburger is actually a sandwich consisting of a cooked beef patty served in a bun, sliced tomatoes, onions, pickles, cheese, and what else? Ketchup, mayonnaise and hot sauce must not be forgotten. Mustard is optional. But for me, I love burgers with mustard. Maybe I’ve got an American tongue when it comes to burgers. The term, ‘hamburger’ was originated and derived from the word Hamburg, a place in Germany. Germans and other western people do eat a dish called Hamburg steak. The idea of producing hamburgers was brought to the US, and it was adapted to what we know as a hamburger today. In fact, Americans are mainly responsible for shaping the burger into its present form. Nowadays, there are lots of hamburgers with terrific style and savor to choose from. To complete your meal, a burger is best accompanied by French fries and your favorite drink. Burger has become a popular and signature fast-food item, and people from all ages and walks of life do love it so much. It actually consists of bread, meat, and vegetables – a whole meal in one.

Would you like to know the world’s most expensive burger?

I guess my one-year salary wouldn’t be enough to buy this expensive burger. It’s an eye-popping US$5,000 for just a single burger. A renowned chef by the name of Hubert Keller is the guy behind this luxurious burger. He called his burger ‘FleurBurger’ and is served at Fleur de Lys in Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas. It is a Kobe burger containing foie gras, a special truffle sauce, and is served on a brioche truffle bun with black truffles on the side. Where on earth can we find these strange ingredients? Would you like to try?

Since we’re talking about burgers here, did you know that a lot of burger stalls are available for franchise? Do you want to sell buy-one-take burgers? The concept, buy-one-take-one burgers has become popular nowadays and many entrepreneurs are opting for this type of food cart concept as this is proven to be well-liked by the masses.

Burger Franchise is being offered by these famous companies such as Angel’s Burger, Buena Bonita, Captain’s Burger,

Magnum Ice Cream, while expensive at Php55.00 as compared to Cornetto or Drumstick which are sold at Php25.00, is being sold out left and right from every convenience store . I have to say, marketing strategy is very effective and yet I have not seen a single commercial on the TV. How did they do it?

Social Media is a Great Way to Advertise

Many of my friends have a picture of themselves eating a bar of the expensive ice cream on Faceboook and it is the pressing reason why I tried it. (To be honest it was too plain for me. I’d go for Cornetto Disk next time.) None of them were paid to post their picture on Facebook but I will bet a hundred thousand pesos, Selecta paid a ton of social bloggers to post their picture online and recommend it to their readers. I know how it works, one was a high school classmate of mine.

Then the readers do what their idols do and post a picture of them eating the ice cream at social media sites like Facebook, Twitter or Google Plus.

The friends of these people, whether they read social blogs or not, follow suit and post their pictures online — who does not want to look cool and fit in? Those who do not fall for the trick still buy the ice cream out of curiosity.

But Word of Mouth is Still Best

The oldest form of advertising, word of mouth recommendation is still the best, and a part of the campaign. Those who tried and liked the ice cream (whether they like the taste or the social stature it brings) recommend the ice cream to their friends. Selecta reels in the profits.

To Summarize the Process:

Here are the steps to get your stuff viral the Magnum Ice Cream way. And because I am trying to be funny, I will do this in a meme fashion:

1. Pay social bloggers and celebs to post their pictures consuming your product.
2. Let the internet to the work.<br
